Winter & Early Spring Breaks in North Yorkshire
North Yorkshire is beautiful at any time of year, but visiting between January and March offers something extra special. The coast is peaceful, the countryside is quiet, and the area feels calm and fresh. It’s the perfect time for crisp walks, cosy evenings by the log burner, and a slower pace of life.
Winter walks along the beaches are a real treat. Closer to home, the village is surrounded by lovely countryside, including Chafer Wood, which becomes filled with bluebells and spring flowers.
As spring approaches, the area comes alive with colour. One of our favourite local walks is the Farndale Daffodil Walk, a beautiful route through daffodil-filled valleys in late March and early April. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy the first signs of spring.
If you’re planning a winter or early spring break, Tillers Cottage is a great base for exploring the area at a slower pace. If you’d like recommendations for seasonal walks or cosy local pubs, we’re always happy to help.
